The ink of dreams
Silver prints produced out of hand painted negatives. Letting the ink flow on its own, random patterns turn into oniric landscapes and creatures…
Painting negatives with ink, printing them in the darkroom.
A trip to the boundaries of photography. Or maybe to its very core.
Writing with light.
Without a camera.
Without a shot.
Not a slice of time in a slice of space, but a photograph nonetheless…
Then the mind does what it does best: make sense. From this aesthetic chaos, figures and landscapes start to arise. Oniric animals, chimeras, trees, almost-human faces. Details are literally infinite, not limited by the film grain. The longer one stares at each image, the more in focus gets the imagination. Sharp dreams, precise, things seen cannot be unseen.
